mozzim and the leopard

Mozzim is an IT guru, who is on intimate terms with anyCPU’s circuitry. amur leopard and cub - Panthera pardus orientalisNow, I’m just a gal-in-the-city but I’m no slouch at the nuts and bolts of info technology. So, there we were kicking-back at the The Fantastic Plastic Cafe laptops to the left, coffees to the right, stuck in middle of techtalk. I glanced at Mozzim’s wallpaper. Stretched across the screen, in full-colour was the most stunning big cat, growling. Techtalk tossed, Mozzim spent the next 25 minutes telling me about the Amur leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis). It goes something like this. Yesterday, in his youth, he travelled from India to America and visited with a friend in Pittsburgh – they took a day excursion to the zoo. It was at Pittsburgh Zoo that Mozzim first met an Amur leopard. Kismet? Yes! Mozzim has since joined the WWF Wildlife Conservation Endangered Species organisation and contributes copy to a quarterly newsletter. Over the past 15Amur leopard years, Mozzim has taken 3 photographic tours in the wild and emailed updates, copy and photography of the Amur leopards, free of charge, for inclusion in the newsletter. He has attended 2 conferences in Europe and has had copy published by major international newspapers on the Amur leopard’s vulnerability as a species and it’s survival in the wild in northern europe. What a difference a day makes, Yes?

What a nice gesture to contribute to the newsletter. An unexpected reward received for his journalistic efforts. Congrats to Mozzim.

A wild and vicious look, but stunning – a real beauty and again, this is a fab article, thank you

  3. It’s wonderful to have friends in technological places (who also share your concerns and love for all things natural). Synchronicity. Don’t you just love it?! :)

Your say . . .
